How did the book of Genesis lift the hearts of the exiles as they returned to their homeland, Judah?
It strengthened and lifted their hearts because it reminded them that since the beggining God was in charge, that God is good, and helped them understand who they were.

Summarize the difference between the Jewish view of the orgins of the world and the Babylonian view.
The Jewsish view were that God created everything and was in charge. The Babylonians point of view was that the "gods" were superior and that they can e as the same level as God.

In the creation story, why is it said that God rested en the seventh day?
God rested on the sabath (a day of each week), which was a sacred custum during the exile.

What is the Catholic understanding of how the biblical Creation account relates to the theory of revolution?
That no contradiction exists between the biblical story and the theory of evolution.

What do Adam and Eve desire by eating of the tree of the "knowledge of good and evil"?
They desire to be equal to God.

According to the story of the Fall, who is responsible for suffering and injustice in the world-God or human beings?
Human beings.

Which Genesis stories tell about the spread of sin after the first sin?
The story of Cain and Abel.

To whom does God offer the first covenant? Why is it offered, and what is the sign of that event?
He offeres it to Noah because it means a promise that we wont flood something again and kill a lot of people, the sign was a rainbow.
